Andy Alvarez - Bonds & Large Accounts

Andy grew up in the Pharr San Juan Alamo area, graduated from PSJA High School and attended Pan American University with a major in Accounting. He has been working as an insurance producer for the past 20 years getting his start working in personal lines, then in claims and eventually with larger accounts. His specialty is working with contractors and helping them with their payment and performance bonds. Having lived in the Valley for over 40 years he is not only bilingual but also understands the unique needs and environment of the area.

Sheila Dunagan - Administrator

Sheila purchased VIP in 2003 and started with a handful of employees. The business and staff have doubled with dedicated departments for commercial, personal and bonds. Sheila oversees the day to day operations as well as negotiate with underwriters and insurance companies. She grew up in the Valley graduating from McAllen High School over 25 years ago.

Ron Dunagan - Large Commercial and Contractors Bonds

Ron received his bachelor's degree in Accounting in 1983 in Lubbock, Texas. He moved to the Valley shortly thereafter working with local judges and attorneys as a court reporter. In 2005 he joined VIP full time with a General Lines Property & Casualty license as well as a Life & Health license. He enjoys digging into the details of a policy and helping our insureds find the balance between their budget and the coverage they need to help protect their business. Ron also oversees the commercial department.

Rosie De La Garza - Personal Lines Department

Rosie is an Alamo native and graduate of PSJA High School with a BBA from Pan American University. She has been in the insurance Industry since 1974 and currently holds a general lines license for insurance. She is involved in various ministries as a parishioner of Resurrection Catholic Church. Her office duties involve selling and servicing Personal Lines Accounts which are Autos, Homes, Mobile Homes, Travel Trailers, Motorcycles, Boats and Flood Insurance. She is bilingual and enjoys helping people find the best coverage at an affordable price.

Vanessa Jasso - Commercial Lines Department

Vanessa joined VIP in 2006 working as an assistant in the personal lines department. She has moved up in the company very quickly and now holds a Property & Casualty license and is a great asset to our commercial lines department. Having grown up in the Valley and being bilingual helps her to understand the unique needs of our local clients. Whether it's a bakery or an electrician, Vanessa is quite at ease helping the customer find the proper coverage they need.

Debbie Valdez - Commercial Lines Department

Debbie has been with our agency since 2008. She most recently acquired her Property & Casualty license in 2009. Debbie handles all of the claims as well as several commercial accounts. She is a Valley native, bilingual and her husband is a small business owner himself, so she understands some of the challenges our commercial customers face when trying to shop for the best coverage at a reasonable price.

Liz DeLeon - Commercial Long Haul Trucking

Liz is fairly new to our agency, but not to insurance. Her background has been working at another agency in the long haul trucking department. If you are an owner/operator or have a fleet of 200 Liz is very familiar with the special needs that come into play with a trucking operation. Like so many in the agency, Liz is bilingual and holds her Property & Casualty license so she is quite capable and willing to help any of our customers with their insurance needs. Liz likes to say if it has wheels she is the one you need to talk to and she will find the coverage you need.
